Relook

When dawn breaks we shall meet each other once again,
After what had seemed like long eternity,
The face which I had never hoped to see
Bringing memories of once-forgotten pain,
Relived just momently.

Seeing with my eyes the first time looking out for traps and tricksters
Plowing through the words that seem to dance around on endless pages
Racing through past present future thinking of what sadistic creature
Forces others to consider riddles of a tedious nature

What do you think can come of old-school rote learning?
Understanding is unfairly put aside in favour of blind computation
Out of which we can't but glean nothing
Save for peace of mind and solace in ourselves without comprehension.
